The 'Yoga Mahotsav,' held in celebration of the 75-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga, witnessed an overwhelming turnout at Wadia College Sports Ground, Pune (Maharashtra). This event, jointly organized by the Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga and the National Institute of Naturopathy under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, drew thousands of participants eager to engage in the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), highlighting the profound role of yoga in fostering personal and societal well-being.

The 'Yoga Mahotsav' was graced by esteemed guests and dignitaries, emphasizing the collective commitment to promoting yoga and its transformative benefits. Notable figures present included Satyajit Paul, Deputy Director General of the Ministry of Ayush; Vishwas Mandalik, President of Yoga Vidya Gurukul, Nashik; Vijayalakshmi Bharadwaj, Director of the Ministry of Ayush; Dr. Satya Lakshmi, Director of the National Institute of Naturopathy, Pune; and Vaidya Dr. Kashinath Samagandi, Director of MDNIY.

During the event, Satyajit Paul expressed his delight at Pune hosting the 'Yoga Mahotsav' and highlighted the global significance of yoga as a movement towards a healthier future. He commended the massive turnout, acknowledging the collective effort towards embracing yoga.

Vishwas Mandalik, reflecting on India's rich heritage, described yoga as a profound spiritual discipline that harmonizes the mind and body, benefiting global health.

Promoting Common Yoga Protocol

The Common Yoga Protocol (CYP) took center stage at the event, symbolizing a unified approach to yoga practice. A live demonstration of CYP was conducted by experts from MDNIY, with over 5000 Yoga enthusiasts participating actively. The program was streamed across various social media platforms, amplifying its reach and impact.

The Indian Yoga Association's Maharashtra State Chapter also contributed to the celebration, reinforcing the significance of yoga as a holistic approach to well-being.
