Here are some tasty dishes that you can prepare on Independence Day;

Tricolor Momos 

Almost every person is a momo lover. This steamed snack can be made simply at home and you'll add a patriotic side to this dish with a few simple elements by making delicious and tangy orange chutney with tomatoes, purple peppers and garlic and of course a mint chutney. 

Chole Bhature 

Chole Bhature is one of the most popular dishes in Northern India. It is a typical dish that every Indian enjoys. The mixture of bhatura (fried bread made with maida) and chili chole curry makes this dish irresistible. 

Ven Pongal 

Have you heard about it? Ven Pongal, a porridge made with rice and Moong dal, is the namkeen model of this delicious and well-known recipe. It combines the delicious flavors of curry leaves, cumin, ginger and ghee. 

Bisi Bele Bath 

The Bissi Bele bath is rich in vitamins and flavors and is one of the most popular dishes in Karnataka. It is a staple dish consisting of rice, tur dal, and various green leafy vegetables, all mixed together and cooked with spices.  

Thukpa 

Thukpa is one of the important popular dishes of Arunachal Pradesh. You can feel a sense of fullness and satisfaction after eating this. This dish is essentially a soup made with noodles, meat and assorted green vegetables.  

Aloo Bharta 

Mashed potato in Odia Model, Aloo Bharta is eaten primarily with rice and dal. The elements embraces mashed potatoes with coriander, immature peppers, mustard oil, onion, curry leaves and salt. An easy and delicious dish cherishes and loved by everyone in Assam. Give it a try, you will definitely love it. 

Dhokla 

Dhokla is a delicious snack of the state of Gujarat. It is made with a fermented batter of rice, chickpea flour and ground urad dal flour. This versatile dish can be eaten for breakfast, as a main course, as a side dish or as a snack. Serve it with tamarind, chili sauce and you're good to go. 

Samosa 

Samosa is an authentic Indian snack that you can make on Independence Day. The crispy crust along with the spicy potato and bean garnish will make this a delicious and filling snack. If you are not an ordinary samosa professional, you can try to make mini samosas. Serve it hot with ketchup or mint chutney.
