Farmer's Son Cracks JEE Advanced 2020; Plans to join IIT Kharagpur or IIT Roorkee

This farmer son from Navi Akhol village of Ahmedabad made his family proud by cracking JEE Advanced 2020, securing an all-India rank of 1849. Getting a seat in IIT is a dream of every Indian parent which has been considered as the best educational institutions for Engineering and the hub of best minds. Here, Vijay Makwana proved that sometimes people just need the right opportunity to show what they are capable of.

Sometimes all just matters is your dream and dedication, the rest is fulfilled by itself. Yes, once again a farmer's son shines through his success by getting into the most prestigious and dream college of every Indian student, IIT (Indian Institute of Technology). This farmer son from Navi Akhol village of Ahmedabad made his family proud by cracking JEE Advanced 2020, securing an all-India rank of 1849. Getting a seat in IIT is a dream of every Indian parent which has been considered as the best educational institutions for Engineering and the hub of best minds. Here, Vijay Makwana proved that sometimes people just need the right opportunity to show what they are capable of.

Vijay has completed his schooling from Eklavya School till class 10 and shifted to Kameshwar School for classes 11 and 12. Being a brilliant student, Vijay’ got 50% scholarship from a private coaching institute where he trained for the competitive examination.


Vijay’s education was supported by Kalorex Group-run social initiative, Visamo Kids Foundation and he was the first from the group to crack JEE Advanced, whose results were announced on Monday. A computer engineering aspirant, Vijay now wants to take admission in IIT Kharagpur or IIT Roorkee.

“I am thankful for the support and opportunities I got because of Visamo Kids Foundation, which helped me get the best of education and helped me pursue my dreams,” says Vijay.

Since the past 18 years , Visamo Kids Foundation has been supporting children till the higher education level and supports their aspirations for higher education.

Moreover, kids can stay at Visamo and complete schooling from classes 1 till 12 while attending schools under CBSE, ICSE and GSEB.
