Success Story: How PMFBY and Farmitra Benefitted Mr Prashant Subhahsrao Deshmukh

Mr. Prashant Subhashrao Deshmukh, 27 years young farmer, started farming activities 6 years back at his village Nandapur, Taluka-Kalmnuri, District- Hingoli, Maharashtra. He mostly used to grow Turmeric, Soybean, Green Gram, Red Gram, and Sorghum at his farm. Unseasonal rains and uncertainty of onset of Monsoon made him very disappointed for the practice of agriculture. But last year he came to know the benefits of crop Insurance for such kinds of uncertainties. Mr. Prashant told us, “Last year during the last week of October there was very heavy rains during harvesting season of Soybean, Kharif 2019 crop.
