Fried foods have a deep history in Indian cuisine. We frequently consume fried foods that have been cooked in deep oil over a high flame with significant amount of oil. Fried foods are no doubt tasty but it puts us at the risk of various health problems, including heart disease and diabetes.

However, fried meals are crunchy and flavourful, making it impossible to avoid them. But don't worry, there's a halfway point. You can try baking the items to get a similar flavor while using less oil.

Fried Foods That You Can Bake For a Healthier Twist

- Ravioli

You can make the mouthwatering pasta meal in just a few minutes by baking it. The healthy option will not differ in terms of taste, and baked cheese can be coupled with other ingredients to create a unique flavour.

- Eggplants or baigan ke pakode

In different Indian thalis, fried eggplants (baigan ke pakore) are served as a starter. But did you know that baking the vegetable pieces makes the meal crisp and can be served with tomato or potato slices.

Samosas

- Samosa

If you don't want the sticky oil seeping out of your samosas, bake them instead of eating them fried. The only difference you'll notice is the glazing, which is made because of oil.

- Cutlets

You don't have to feel bad about indulging in too many chicken cutlets any longer. Simply prepare the dish as usual, but instead of frying them in a pan of hot oil, spread them out on a baking tray and bake for 15 minutes.

- French Fries

A bowl of french fries, a fan favorite, takes almost no time to empty. But we don't realize it since we're also consuming a lot of oil. So, after mixing the spices and adding just one spoon of oil, we can bake the cut and dried potato pieces and have a much healthier end product.
