Adani Total Gas Slashes Prices of CNG by Rs 8.13/kg, PNG by Rs 5.06/scm

Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) has reduced the price of CNG by up to Rs 8.13/kg and the price of PNG by up to Rs 5.06/scm, following the Government of India's decision to link the Administered Pricing Mechanism (APM).

With effect from April 8, Adani Total Gas Limited (ATGL) has decreased the price of CNG by up to Rs 8.13/kg and the price of PNG by up to Rs 5.06/scm. The Government of India's historic move to link the Administered Pricing Mechanism is applauded by Adani Total Gas Ltd. (ATGL).

According to a press release from Adani Total Gas Ltd., the price for gas supply to CNG cars and residential customers will be 10% of the Indian crude basket, with a floor price of Rs. 4 and a cap price of Rs. 6.5 per MMBTU (ATGL).

Delhi: In Delhi, the price of CNG would decrease by up to Rs 6. (down from Rs 79.56 per kg to Rs 73.59). Moreover, the cost of piped natural gas will reduce by Rs. 6 per thousand cubic meters, from Rs. 53.59 to Rs. 47.59.

Mumbai: The cost of CNG per kilogram in Mumbai would be 8 rupees less. PNG costs would decrease from Rs 54 to Rs 49 per scm, while citywide CNG costs would decrease from Rs 87 to Rs 79 per kg.

Bangalore: CNG would cost 6 rupees less per kilogram in Bangalore, whereas PNG would cost 6.5 rupees less. CNG currently costs 83.5 and PNG is 52.

According to a statement, "In line with our policy to prioritize our end consumers, ATGL has decided to pass through the benefit of the New Gas Pricing guidelines announced by the Government of India to a large number of Home PNG and CNG consumers, thus enhancing the affordability of PNG and CNG with a saving of over 40% for CNG consumers relative to Petrol prices and around 15% relative to Home PNG consumers relative to LPG prices."

"A price cut of up to Rs 8.13 per kg of CNG and up to Rs 5.06 per scm of PNG will take effect at midnight tomorrow, ATGL is happy to announce. The attached Table lists the geographic areas (GAs) across the nation where gas prices for CNG and PNG have decreased "the statement was added.

In addition to the price reductions for CNG and PNG brought about by the revised Gas Pricing Guidelines, ATGL was also pleased to announce a PNG price reduction of Rs 3.0 per scm for its Industrial and Commercial Customers.

This will allow our industrial and commercial customers to use more natural gas, which will benefit the environment and lower the price of their products, according to the statement.
