AP Agri Minister Inaugurates New Academic Block at Horticulture University in Railway Kodur
On Friday, Kakani Govardhan Reddy, Agriculture Minister of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated the newly-constructed academic block, boys and girls’ hostels built at a total cost of Rs 15 crores at Dr YSR Horticulture University in Railway Kodur mandal in Annamayya district.

Addressing the crowd during the occasion, the Minister said that as a part of the initiative to enhance the living standards of farmers, the government has been motivating agriculture and horticulture universities in a great manner by allocating sufficient funds.
He claimed that Rythu Bharosa Kendras (RBKs) is providing high-quality seeds for a variety of crops which is benefitting thousands of farmers.
The former chief minister Dr. Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was praised for founding the Dr. YSR Horticulture University, which he said was essential in generating high-quality seeds and providing them to farmers. He said that by bringing the matter to Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's attention, he would be able to secure additional funding for the development of the university.
Dr. T. Janakiram, vice chancellor of the university stated that the institution is offering high-quality seeds and plants related to several crops.
He thanked the Chief Minister for providing assistance for the university's overall development. Korumutla Srinivasulu, an MLA for Railway Kodur, also spoke.
