The State Agriculture department has already implemented several measures based on the recommendations of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma and Agriculture Minister Atul Bora to make Assam self-sufficient in seed production of various crops. Dr. Bhutani emphasized the need to develop the Fallangani Seed Farm as an ideal seed farm in the State for producing quality seeds for the agriculture sector.

During the inspection, Dr. Bhutani and the officers walked around the entire seed-farm. They also interacted with District Agriculture Officer Ranjit Kr. Sarmah, Branch Manager of ASCL Golaghat Branch Dhruba Kanta Deka, Principal Scientist and Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Khumtai Dr. Bhabesh Ch. Deka and ADO of Morongi Circle Shanghamitra Sarmah to gain insights into the operations of the seed farm.

The team's visit was an important step in improving the quality and quantity of seed production in Assam. The State Agriculture department's efforts to make Assam self-sufficient in seed production will benefit farmers and help them increase their agricultural productivity.

The government's initiatives in this regard are commendable, and with continued efforts, Assam can become a leading state in seed production.
