Chhattisgarh govt has decided to launch a new initiative that will provide paddy farmers with significant input assistance, marking a big step towards securing welfare of farmers and boosting agriculture sector. Under this initiative, farmers stand to receive Rs 19,257 per acre, a crucial measure to alleviate financial burdens and enhance agricultural productivity. This decision underscores the government's unwavering commitment to the well-being of its agricultural community.

Krishak Unnati Yojana

Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, has agreed to introduce the 'Krishak Unnati Yojana' from the upcoming kharif season. Under this initiative, paddy farmers will receive Rs 19,257 per acre on the basis of paddy purchased from them. which is a critical step toward reducing financial strains and increasing agricultural productivity. This initiative, a fulfillment of PM Modi's pre-assembly poll promise, is geared towards augmenting farmers' income, crop production, and overall productivity. By providing input assistance based on paddy procurement, scheme aims to empower farmers and mitigate the costs associated with cultivation.

State Investigation Agency (SIA)

In addition to scheme, government has prioritized security enhancements with the establishment of State Investigation Agency (SIA), a specialized agency dedicated to investigating terrorism and Left-Wing Extremism cases. This agency will accelerate investigations and prosecutions, ensuring swift and effective action against threats to public safety. With the creation of 74 new positions, including that of superintendent of police, the SIA underscores the government's unwavering commitment to combatting extremism and safeguarding citizens.

Recognizing the importance of efficient governance and policy implementation, the cabinet has also approved the formation of a separate department focused on good governance and convergence. This strategic initiative aims to streamline public welfare policies, optimize resource utilization, and advance grievance resolution. By fostering synergy across government departments, this initiative seeks to enhance service delivery and promote citizen-centric governance.

Aligning with National Initiatives

In a nod to national priorities, cabinet has endorsed the 'National Education Policy 2020' for implementation in the higher education sector. Additionally, mirroring the structure of NITI Ayog, Chhattisgarh State Planning Commission will be rebranded as the State Niti Ayog Chhattisgarh. These measures underscore the state government's commitment to aligning with broader national agendas and fostering collaborative efforts towards sustainable development.

By prioritizing support for farmers, enhancing security measures, and promoting effective governance, the government demonstrates its dedication to fostering inclusive growth and prosperity for all citizens. These initiatives mark significant milestones in the state's journey towards realizing its full potential and building a brighter future for generations to come.
