Cold Storage Business Idea: Start a Cold Storage Unit with a 75% Govt Subsidy; Direct Link Inside

The Bihar government is taking measures to boost the income of farmers by offering subsidies of up to 50 and 75 percent for opening cold storage units. This initiative aims to provide opportunities for farmers to expand their businesses and earn more money, especially those who plan to stay in the village.

Benefits of the scheme:

The government of Bihar has launched the Integrated Horticulture Development Mission scheme, which offers subsidies of up to 50 percent for individual farmers and entrepreneurs and up to 75 percent for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) on the cost of a cold storage unit (Type-2). The maximum cost of making a cold storage unit (Type-2) per metric ton is Rs 10,000, and the subsidy amounts to Rs 5,000 for individual farmers and Rs 7,500 for FPOs and FPCs.

How to Apply:

The Directorate of Horticulture, Government of Bihar, has urged farmers to take advantage of this scheme and apply immediately. To be eligible, the farmers should be residents of Bihar and possess the necessary documents, including:

• Land Ownership Paper

• In Principle Sanction Letter from Bank

• Detailed Project Report (DPR)

• Approved Map of Cold Storage

• PAN Card

• Aadhar Card
