Benefits of the scheme:
The government of Bihar has launched the Integrated Horticulture Development Mission scheme, which offers subsidies of up to 50 percent for individual farmers and entrepreneurs and up to 75 percent for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) and Farmer Producer Companies (FPCs) on the cost of a cold storage unit (Type-2). The maximum cost of making a cold storage unit (Type-2) per metric ton is Rs 10,000, and the subsidy amounts to Rs 5,000 for individual farmers and Rs 7,500 for FPOs and FPCs.
