Farmers Alert! Get 80% Discount for Stubble Disposal; Apply by 7th Sep

Stubble burning in Haryana causes pollution, effects of which can be felt in Delhi as well. Therefore, the Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Department of Haryana has started taking the measures for crop residue management. Agricultural machinery is needed for the stubble disposal. Any farmer who wants to buy such machines on subsidy can apply till 7th September 2021.

Only few months are left for the paddy crop to be ready. In such situation, efforts have already started for the disposal of stubble. Stubble burning in Haryana causes pollution, effects of which can be felt in Delhi as well. Therefore, the Agriculture & Farmers Welfare Department of Haryana has started taking the measures for crop residue management. Agricultural machinery is needed for the stubble disposal.

Any farmer who wants to buy such machines on subsidy can apply till 7th September 2021.A spokesman of the state government said that in the individual category, the farmers will be given 50% subsidy for purchasing crop disposal agricultural equipment. Whereas, 80% grant will be given by the farmers’ cooperative society, farmer producer organization (FPO), registered farmer committee & Panchayat for setting up the custom hiring centers.

The spokesman said that the selection of the beneficiaries would be done by the District Level Executive Committee constituted under the chairmanship of concerned Deputy Commissioner.

After selection, farmers can buy their machines by bargaining from listed agricultural machinery manufacturers. The state government has appealed to the farmers not to burn the crop residue in the field. Because by burning stubble, the fertile power of the land is destroyed.

Avail Incentives for not burning the Stubble

According to the Haryana Agriculture Minister JP Dalal, the government will also give benefits for crop residue management besides giving subsidy on machines. A provision has been made to give incentive amount of one thousand rupees per acre on paddy to the farmers who do not burn the stubble. For this, farmers will have to be registered on the Mera Byora Portal.
