Grand Inauguration of the 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra' Marks a New Chapter in Agricultural Celebration

The 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra' today inaugurated its journey to the western and central regions from the Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi.

MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra is part of Krishi Jagran's 'Samridh Kisan Utsav', aiming to showcase agricultural innovations, crop management strategies, and the future of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs).

The 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra' embarked on its journey to the western and central regions from the premises of Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi. The university, affiliated with the Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE), played host to this event, symbolizing its commitment to agricultural innovation, education, and extension. This marks the third flagging-off event following comprehensive coverage of both the northern and southern regions. Notably, the program was by powered by Jain Irrigation System Ltd.

The ceremonial flag-off witnessed the presence of Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Vice Chancellor of the RLB Central University and former Deputy Director General (Agricultural Extension) at ICAR, New Delhi, as the chief guest who also marked their foundation day with the event. The day was further graced by dignitaries including Mr. Anil Kumar Verma, Vice President of Jain Irrigation System Ltd., Mr. Ashwini Singh from Mahindra Tractors, along with Mr. MC Dominic, Founder, and Editor-in-Chief of Krishi Jagran, and Ms. Shiny Dominic, Managing Director of Krishi Jagran.

MC Dominic expressed his enthusiasm for the flag-off ceremony of MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra and stated, "We farmers don't just aspire to till the land; we aim to prosper and thrive. This inauguration ceremony emphasizes the importance of elevating Indian farmers to the ranks of the nation's wealthiest individuals. At MFOI, our goal is to empower farmers to excel, thereby propelling the Indian agricultural landscape to prominence."

In alignment with MC Dominic's vision, Dr. Ashok Kumar Singh, Vice Chancellor of the RLB Central University, expressed, "Our primary responsibility, preceding our students, lies with the farmers of our nation. While our students will eventually evolve into scientists and agricultural experts, it is the farmers who labor in the fields to actualize these efforts, ensuring sustenance for our tables."

"Numerous enterprises may emerge and fade, yet it is imperative to recognize agriculture as a viable business venture now. It is incumbent upon all stakeholders to collaboratively strive towards fostering agriculture into a thriving economic avenue."

Prominent attendees also included Dr. Anil Kumar and Dr. SS Singh, Directors of Education and Educational Extension at RLB Central Agricultural University, respectively, and Dr. G P Singh, Director of ICAR-National Bureau of Plant Genetic Resources. Their collective presence at the yatra underscores the importance of celebrating the hard work and resilience of farmers across the central and western states of India, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.

The flag-off event saw over 500 farmers participating from across the region, featuring an exhibition by Jain Irrigation and a certificate distribution ceremony recognizing 'Millionaire Farmer' and 'Progressive Farmer'. A few farmers who were facilitated were Mr. Nathuram from Pajanpura, Mr. Azad Kumar from Birguan, Mr. Bhagwat Ahirwar from Durgapur, Mr. Inder Singh from Manpur, Mr. Parbhudayal from Talaud and many more.

This initiative is part of Krishi Jagran's 'Samridh Kisan Utsav', aiming to showcase agricultural innovations, crop management strategies, and the future of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), alongside advancements in the tractor industry.

About 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra'

The 'MFOI VVIF Kisan Bharat Yatra' is more than a mere journey; it's a mission to honor the unsung heroes of agriculture across India. With plans to connect with over one lakh millionaire farmers, the initiative will cover 4,520 locations. This expedition, lasting over 200 days, represents a unified movement towards progress and the spirit of the Indian farmer.

Looking ahead, the 'Millionaire Farmer of India Awards' sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, is set to occur from December 1 to 5, 2024. This unique award ceremony is dedicated to recognizing the efforts of farmers across more than 150 categories, ranging from Millionaire Horticulture to Organic and Dairy Farming.

Krishi Jagran invites nominations for the second edition of the MFOI Awards 2024, encouraging participation from the agricultural community at large. This initiative not only celebrates the achievements of Indian farmers but also opens avenues for stakeholders in the agricultural sector to showcase their contributions and support for the farming community.
