IMD Issues Heat Wave Alert for Many Regions; Rainfall Likely in Southern States

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasted heat wave conditions in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. Meanwhile, several southern states might anticipate mild and scattered rainfall during the next few days.
The weather department also stated that the deep depression over the north Andaman Sea is unlikely to grow into a cyclonic storm and is expected to cross the south Myanmar coast near Thandwe with relatively less ferocity than previously predicted.
Rainfall Alert:
Isolated severe rainfall is also expected across Arunachal Pradesh on March 23rd, 24th and 25th, 2022.
Light isolated/scattered rainfall is very likely over Kerala and Mahe, Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka over the next 5 days, with isolated thunderstorm/lightning activity over Kerala and Mahe, Tamilnadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka over the next 3 days.
Light to moderate scattered/fairly widespread rainfall is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim over the next 5 days, with isolated thunderstorms/lightning over the region between 23rd and 25th of March.
Heatwave Warning:
On March 22nd, heat wave conditions are very likely in isolated areas over West Madhya Pradesh.
Maximum temperatures are expected to fall by around 20 degrees Celsius in several regions of Northwest India (except East Uttar Pradesh) and south peninsular India during the next 3 days, and rise by 2-3⁰C thereafter.
Maximum temperatures in Gujarat are unlikely to vary significantly over the next three days, but they are expected to climb by 2-3 degrees Celsius thereafter.
Fall in maximum temperatures by 2-3⁰C very likely over Maharashtra during next 2 days and no significant change thereafter.
