IMD Predicts Extremely Heavy Rainfall in These States for Next Few Days, Read Full Forecast Here

During the next five days, it is highly possible that Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal will see isolated to scattered light or moderate rainfall activity.

Intense wet spell likely to continue over some parts of the country.

The entire country has been witnessing rainfall for the last few days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the western coast, central and neighboring peninsular India, are expected to witness an intense wet spell till July 14. However, after that, the intensity of the rain will decline.

IMD Rainfall Predictions/Warnings

Over southern coastal Odisha, a well-marked low-pressure area is present, and the neighborhood and associated cyclonic circulation reach the upper troposphere, shifting southwestward with altitude. Due to this Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra Konkan, and Goa, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh are likely to experience heavy rainfall.

According to the Met Department, over the next five days, it is likely that Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Gujarat State, Kerala & Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana, and Karnataka will experience fairly widespread/widespread light/moderate rainfall & thunderstorm/lightning with isolated heavy rainfall.

Over West Madhya Pradesh and Telangana on July 14, over East Madhya Pradesh on July 17, over Vidarbha on July 14 and 17, over Chhattisgarh on July 16 and 17, and over Odisha until July 16 there is a chance of isolated very heavy rains. On July 15 and July 16, the Madhya Maharashtra and Gujarat regions are expected to see similar weather, as are Saurashtra and the Kutch region. Karnataka's southern interior and coast will both experience heavy rain on Thursday.

On Thursday, the Gujarat region, the Konkan and Goa regions, as well as the ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra, are all very likely to have isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall with exceptionally heavy falls. Meanwhile, extremely heavy rain will pour in Kutch and Saurashtra throughout Friday. During the next five days, it is highly possible that Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal will see isolated to scattered light or moderate rainfall activity.

In addition, the current weather forecast scattered to widely spread light to moderate rainfall with isolated thunderstorms or lightning over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand over the next few days, as well as over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Rajasthan over the following three days, with a decrease after that. Over Uttar Pradesh, similar weather is predicted to remain over the next five days.
