The India Meteorological Department (IMD) projected a severe heatwave today for Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, western Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh. "The lack of a meteorological system, along with the presence of an anti-cyclone over Rajasthan and neighboring Pakistan, had resulted in hot winds blowing throughout North and Central India. March will conclude on a hotter note, with no relief until the beginning of April "said Mahesh Palawat, Skymet Weather's vice president of Meteorology and Climate Change.
