IMD Predicts Light Rainfall, Fog & Cold Wave in These States For Next 3-4 Days; Read Full Forecast
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted light to moderate rainfall and cold wave conditions over northwest and central India during next 3-4 days. Full Forecast Inside!
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light to moderate rainfall and cold wave conditions throughout northwest and central India for the next 3-4 days. The weather forecasting department stated in its daily bulletin released this afternoon that fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall is highly expected over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from January 26th, with isolated rainfall on 27th and 28th January.
Isolated light rain is also expected over Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, and Odisha over the next 24 hours, as well as isolated light rain over the Andaman and Nicobar Islands within next 5 days. Furthermore, light to moderate rainfall is expected over the Northeast region on 26th- 28th of January.
For southern states, the IMD predicts rainfall across south interior Karnataka during the next two days, coastal Andhra Pradesh-Yanam, Rayalaseema, and Kerala-Mahe over the next three days, and Tamil Nadu-Puducherry-Karaikal over the next five days.
Light isolated rainfall and snowfall are expected throughout the western Himalayan region from 29th to 30th of January as a result of a new Western Disturbance.
Cold day conditions
Cold to severe cold day conditions are predicted in some parts of Madhya Pradesh during next 2 days.
During the next 24 hours, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh are also expected to experience cold day conditions.
Cold wave conditions are expected over Maharashtra and Gujarat over the next two days and over Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, north Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, and Chhattisgarh over the next 3 to 4 days.
Dense fog conditions
According to the IMD, dense to extremely dense fog conditions in isolated pockets are very likely to persist across Punjab, Haryana, and West Uttar Pradesh for the next 24 hours.
Dense fog is also expected over Himachal Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh and Odisha over the next 24 hours, east Uttar Pradesh for the next two days, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal-Sikkim during 28th-30th.
