IMD Report: Maximum Temperature to Increase in These States From March 17; Full Forecast Inside

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh are likely to get heavy rainfall or snowfall today due to a Western Disturbance across North Haryana at lower tropospheric levels. 

According to the official forecast, thunderstorms and lightning are also expected in Uttarakhand today. Today, 10 March, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada are also expected to receive light rain with thunderstorms and lightning. 

The IMD bulletin further predicted that dry weather will prevail thereafter. 

The bulletin stated that maximum temperatures will gradually climb by 2-3°C across Gujarat during the next three days, with no major change after that. 

As spring sets in, the official document stated that the maximum temperatures will very likely rise by 2-4°Cover Northwest and Central India from 12 March. 

The weather department also stated that maximum temperatures were above 35°C in numerous regions of Gujarat, Kerala and Mahe, Telangana, Rayalaseema, and Tamilnadu on Wednesday.

These were 2-4°Cover average in several portions of Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Kerala, and Mahe. 

Finally, the IMD stated that isolated light rainfall would persist across Kerala and Mahe for the next 5 days. Coastal Karnataka and Lakshadweep will also see light rain during the next two days. 

Tamil Nadu will also receive light rainfall during 12-14 March. 

Maximum temperatures are expected to gradually rise across most parts of the country from March 17, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). 

Meanwhile, total rainfall activity is expected to be below normal across most parts of the country this week till next Thursday. 

Maximum temperatures are expected to be 2-4 degrees Celsius above normal in several regions of northwest, central, east, northeast, and north Peninsular India, and around average in the rest of India. 

The IMD also said that a heat wave at isolated pockets is likely over Gujarat and adjoining areas during some days of the week.
