IMD Warns of Heavy Rainfall, Thunderstorm & Lightning for Next Few Days, Full Forecast Inside

The weather in Delhi may once again change today! IMD has predicted light to moderate rainfall in several parts of the Capital.

IMD predicts heavy rainfall with thunderstorm and lightning over the states mentioned in this article.

For the next few days, several parts of northwest India are expected to experience heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and lightning, according to a warning issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

State-wise Weather Forecast

Delhi Weather 

Today, Delhi's west, center, north, northwest, south, and southeast may receive light to moderate rainfall further bringing down the temperature. 

Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh Rain Update

The latest forecast from the weather service indicates that an intense rainstorm is anticipated to continue over parts of the northwest Indian plains, Uttarakhand on September 26 and 27, as well as Himachal Pradesh and West Uttar Pradesh on September 26.

Weather in Bihar, West Bengal, and Odisha

Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Bihar on September 26, and Odisha on September 27, are very likely to experience fairly widespread, widespread light, moderate rainfall with isolated downpours and thunderstorms/lightning, as reported by the weather department.

North India Weather

On September 26, 2022, there is a good chance of isolated heavy falls, scattered light to moderate rain, widespread thunderstorms, and lightning over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, north Punjab, northeast Haryana, and north Uttar Pradesh.

North-eastern States

Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on September 25–27, 2022. Fairly widespread/widespread light/moderate rainfall with isolated heavy falls and thunderstorm/lightning highly possible over Arunachal Pradesh on September 26 and 27.
