Krishi Jagran’s Tamil portal launched

Krishi Jagran, the 23 year old agri-media group has launched its fifth digital portal in Tamil language today at its Delhi office. Dr. J.P. Sharma, Joint Director (Extension), I.A.R.I. was the guest of honour for the whole ceremony. He was accompanied by Dr. Ritu Jain, Sr. Scientist and In-charge, media cell, I.A.R.I.

Krishi Jagran, the 23-year-old agri-media group has launched its fifth digital portal in Tamil language today at its Delhi office. Dr. J.P. Sharma, Joint Director (Extension), I.A.R.I. was the guest of honor for the whole ceremony. He was accompanied by Dr. Ritu Jain, Sr. Scientist, and In-charge, media cell, I.A.R.I.  

Krishi Jagran, the global agriculture  magazine from India's largest circulated Agri Media, Krishi Jagran Group of publications, recognized by Limca Book of Records is the only magazine published in 12 languages - English (Agriculture World), Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil & Telugu), reaching 22 states through 23 editions  and have more than a crore combined readership. Our regularly updated web portal, www.krishijagran.com and unique interventions in social media platform have a wide acceptance over the world. Dr. Sharma while addressing Krishi Jagran focused on extension activities in agriculture and shared various means through which income of farmers can be increased comparing the Indian scenario with world agriculture conditions. He also mentioned how farmers can work for the betterment of their livelihood not only by working on field but enhancing ways and means for value addition of crops and their products which can be turned into whole business model which is really the need of an hour as well as the need of present agriculture situation in the country. Instead of waiting for rain and selling their produce in meager prices, today’s farmer should try to be an entrepreneur. Dr Sharma also explained the role of extension department in agriculture as well as media groups working in this sector.
