Mahindra Tractor Transformed Into a Thar; Anand Mahindra Shares Its Photo
Anand Mahindra, chairman of the Mahindra Group, released a photo of a Mahindra tractor that has been changed into the Mahindra Thar.
Many car enthusiasts like building their own cars or customizing their vehicles. Maia Rymbai of Jowai, Meghalaya, is one of these people, having converted a Mahindra tractor into a Mahindra Thar-like vehicle. Anand Mahindra, the chairman of the Mahindra Group, posted a picture of the vehicle on Twitter.
In his tweet, Mahindra also stated that the customised vehicle seems to be a strange-looking beast. “Now that’s a strange looking beast…But it looks like a loveable character from a Disney animated film!" Mahindra further added.
The customised vehicle is based on a Mahindra 275 DI TU tractor, according to Mahindra Tractors, a division of Mahindra Group specialised to agricultural and farming machinery. This is one of the company's best-selling tractors, capable of producing 39 horsepower and appropriate for both agricultural and haulage activities.
The cabin also has a front windshield, as well as driver and front passenger side windows. The vehicle's front fascia is identical to that of the original tractor. The owner has, however, fitted a front bumper. Front wheel covers that seem like they belong on a Mahindra Thar are also there, as are side turning indicators. Although the back of the car is not visible, it looks to have a retractable soft top. It's unclear whether the tractor's owner has made any mechanical modifications.
Few Months Back, through twitter Anand Mahindra uploaded a brief video of a handicapped man in Delhi who delivers things on a modified rickshaw. Anand Mahindra, impressed by his abilities, gave him a job. You can read the entire news here.
