Cyclone Update: From November 30 (Tuesday) to December 2 (Thursday), heavy rain is forecasted in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh (Thursday).

There's a decent possibility that a low-pressure region will form over the south Andaman Sea, which will eventually develop into a cyclone. Odisha and Andhra Pradesh are expected to be hit by the cyclonic storm.

"By tomorrow, a Low Pressure Area is expected to form over the south Andaman Sea" (November 30). During the next 48 hours, it is expected to travel west-northwestwards and consolidate into a Depression over Southeast and adjacent East central Bay of Bengal," according to the IMD.

Mrutunjay Mohapatra, Director General of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), also predicted that precipitation is expected in Odisha from December 2 to 5, and that a cyclone might emerge in the Bay of Bengal in the first week of December.

"In the Bay of Bengal, the low pressure region is expected to develop more prominent, with the system having the potential to form a cyclone.

Following the formation of the low pressure region on November 30, we will be able to provide more details, including rainfall intensity and wind speed "According to Mohapatra.

RK Jenamani, an IMD scientist, predicted that rainfall will fall in Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand, and the weather would shift dramatically.

Beginning on the night of November 30, 2021, a new active Western Disturbance is expected to hit northwest and central India. On December 1, Gujarat is expected to receive severe to extremely heavy rains as a result of it. On December 2, heavy rain is expected for the western state.

On December 1, isolated heavy rains may occur across the Konkan and central Maharashtra.

From December 1-2, scattered rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is expected across west Madhya Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh. On December 2, there is a chance of isolated heavy rain in southeast Rajasthan.
