Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2021: Apply Online for Free Gas Cylinder

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has introduced Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) 2.0 to provide free gas connection to Indian households. Introduction 

PMUY 2.0 is a scheme launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10, 2021. This scheme would provide gas connection free of cost to households. The tentative deadline for application is September 30, 2021. 

This is the newest version of the scheme. It was operational earlier too and had now been re-launched.

Who Is Eligible?  

Before you apply for PMUY 2.0 online, you must know the eligibility criteria:

1) This scheme is only for women from: 

• SC Households.

• ST Households

• Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin)

• Most Backward Classes

• Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY)

• Tea and Ex- Tea Garden tribes

• Forest Dwellers

• People residing in Islands and River Islands

• SECC Households (AHL TIN)

• Poor Household as per 14-point declaration

2) The woman who wants to apply must be above 18 years of age. 

3) The household to which the applicant belongs must not already have a LPG connection.

Documents Required for PMUY

The candidates who plan to apply for PMUY 2.0 need to have the following documents ready: 

• Know Your Customer(KYC)

• Ration Card issued by the State from which application is being made/ other State Govt. document certifying family composition/ Self-Declaration as per Annexure I (for migrant applicants)

• Aadhaar of beneficiary and adult family members appearing in document at Sl. 2

• Proof of Address - Aadhaar will be taken as Proof of Identity and Proof of Address if the connection is required in the same address. In that case only Aadhaar is sufficient.

The registration for Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana 2.0 has now begun. Eligible candidates can apply at the official website pmuy.gov.in. They are required to submit the form before the last date. You need to follow the steps mentioned below to apply successfully for the scheme:

• You will find the link to the form on the homepage of the website

• Add details in the form and cross-check

• Attach all the documents once the form is filled
