Rayagada District in Odisha Witnesses the Grand Commencement of District Level Krushi Mahostav and Farm Mechanisation Mela

In a spectacular inauguration today, the Rayagada district in Odisha witnessed the commencement of the much-anticipated District Level Agriculture Festival and Farm Mechanisation Mela. The event, taking place at GCD High School Ground, is set to be a five-day extravaganza, lasting until December 20, 2023.

In a spectacular inauguration today, the Rayagada district in Odisha witnessed the commencement of the much-anticipated District Level Krushi Mahostav and Farm Mechanisation Mela.

The District Level Krushi Mahostav and Farm Mechanisation Mela, organized by the Department of Agriculture and Empowerment, Government of Odisha, in collaboration with G.C.D. College, Rayagada, has drawn the attention of farmers, agricultural experts, and industry professionals alike. The festival serves as a unique platform where the farming community and agribusinesses converge to celebrate the confluence of agriculture and machinery.

The grand ceremony was graced by several distinguished personalities, including Shri Jagannath Saraka, Minister for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Development and Minorities & Backward Classes Welfare, Shri Bhaskar Rai, Honorable District Collector of Rayagada, Shri Sudhir Das, Guest of Honor and Director of Health Services, Odisha Government, Shri Makarand Muduli, Honorable MLA Rayagada, Shri Raghunath Gama, Honorable MLA Gunupur, and Mrs. Anusuya Majhi, Chairperson of the Rayagada District Planning Committee. Mr. Gaurishankar Jena, District Coordinator of Odisha Navin Odisha Yojana, also graced the occasion.

The festival provides farmers with a golden opportunity to explore and acquire a diverse range of agricultural machinery, tools, and equipment. Government-subsidized agricultural machinery is made available to farmers at attractive prices, facilitating their access to advanced technology that can enhance agricultural productivity.
