Renowned Agricultural Scientist Dr. T.R. Sharma Assumes Additional Charge as Director of IARI, New Delhi

Dr. T.R. Sharma has assumed additional charge as the Director of ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, succeeding Dr. Ashok K. Singh, with a vision to advance agricultural research and innovation.

Renowned Agricultural Scientist Dr. T.R. Sharma Assumes Additional Charge as Director of IARI, New Delhi

The ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi announced that Dr. T.R. Sharma, Deputy Director General (Crop Science) at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), has assumed additional charge as the Director of IARI, New Delhi. Dr. Sharma takes over from the former Director, Dr. Ashok K. Singh.

The handover ceremony was marked by the presence of esteemed members of the IARI leadership team, including Joint Director (Research) Dr. Chinnusamy Vishwanathan, Dean and Joint Director (Education) Dr. Anupama Singh, and Joint Director (Extension) Dr. R.N. Padaria.

Dr. T.R. Sharma is a distinguished figure in the field of agricultural science, with a significant contribution to crop science and Plant Biotechnology research and development. His leadership is expected to drive IARI towards new heights of innovation and excellence in agricultural research.

On the occasion, Dr. Sharma expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to lead IARI. He highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing agricultural research to meet the evolving challenges of food security and sustainable farming practices.

The IARI community extends its heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ashok K. Singh for his dedicated service and outstanding contributions during his tenure as Director. Under his leadership, IARI achieved several milestones in agricultural research and innovation.
