Swacchata Pakhwada 2020 Begins at Krishi Vigyan Kendra

As per the instructions of the Central Government, Swachhata Pakhwada 2020 (Cleanliness Fortnight 2020) commencement program has been celebrated on 16th December 2020 by Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The program will be of 2 Weeks from 16 December to 31 December 2020.

As per the instructions of the Central Government, Swachhata Pakhwada 2020 (Cleanliness Fortnight 2020) commencement program has started on 16th December 2020 by Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The program will be of 2 weeks from 16 December to 31 December 2020. 

What will be Done Under this?

Under this program, the Center will clean up the Office premises, Public places, Picnic spots etc. They will make farmers and general public aware about the hygiene through banners, posters, and various methods of Organic farming, Agricultural Waste Management such as NADEP, Vermicompost etc.   

About the Fortnight

Under this program, weeds will be eradicated after cleaning the Centre premises on 17 December 2020. And all the workers participated enthusiastically in this activity. And many more activities are yet to come in this fortnight.

And other than this, farmers will take pledge on minimal use of plastic in their day-to-day life. And Cleanliness drive will be organized, kitchen garden will be promoted. And information about water pipes cleaning, recycling of waste water, water harvesting for agriculture/horticulture will also be given. Some workshops and exhibitions will also be organized about the latest farming technologies, and livestock technologies.
