These States Will Receive Moderate Rainfall for Next Five Days; Full Forecast

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted light to moderate rainfall in some parts of northern and southern India during next five days.

IMD Predicts Light to Moderate Rainfall

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday predicted light to moderate rainfall in parts of northern and southern India during the next five days.

According to the latest updates, light to moderate rainfall is highly expected across Tamil Nadu-Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala-Mahe, Lakshadweep, and Andaman & Nicobar Islands over the next 5 days, and south Andhra Pradesh over the next 2 days.

Rainfall is also predicted in isolated areas in Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, and Muzaffarabad for the next five days, as well as Himachal Pradesh on the 16th and 17th of December.

According to the department, dry weather is very likely over the remaining parts of the country during the next five days.

According to the department, minimum temperatures will be in the range of 6-10°Cover many parts of plains of northwest India during next 5 days.

Minimum temperatures in most parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi, north Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh, and certain portions of East Uttar Pradesh and north Madhya Pradesh, vary from 6 to 10 degrees Celsius.

No significant change predicted in minimum temperatures over most parts of the country during next 3-4 days.

Dense fog in morning hours in isolated pockets are very likely over Assam, Meghalaya and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during next 48 hours.

Delhi recorded the lowest minimum temperature of the season at 6.4 degree celsius, two notches below normal on Sunday.

The next few days are likely to be warmer due to a western disturbance, the met office said after which temperatures will dip again.
