The scheme was started to improve the status of women in society. It will help in closing the gap between the nation's general progress and the escalating issue of women in governance.
The Rajasthan government has launched a work from home scheme for women in government and private companies to empower women in the state.
"Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot announced the ability to work from home during the last budget. The state government has launched mahilawfh.rajasthan.gov.in to carry out this scheme", said a senior state government official.
Women who have a Jan Aadhar card can register through this website. The department or firms will decide the pay or salary amount. The state government will provide financial support to the firms that hire 20% of women employees.
The Rajasthan government has also allocated a budget of Rs 100 crore for this scheme and targets to provide jobs for around 20,000 women in the next six months. So far,150 women and 9 companies have registered.
The scheme was launched to boost women's status in society. It will help in bridging the gap between the country's mainstream development and the rising problem of women in governance.
Since the Directorate of Women's Empowerment was formed in June 2007, the journey that began as one of women's welfare has evolved into one of women's empowerment through development.
The state government is dedicated to establishing an egalitarian society that is devoid of prejudice. A statement on the website stated, "Where women are empowered and have equal involvement in all development decision-making processes."
The plan aims to uphold women's and girls' constitutional rights and safeguard them against harassment. Additionally, it aims to equally distribute the society's economic, social, and economic resources among all genders.
