Free Online Agriculture Training: The Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) has decided to give agriculture training via video conferencing due to the pandemic and for the convenience of farmers. This training will be provided for free.
At HAU's Saina Nehwal Agricultural Technology Training and Education Institute, a video conferencing hall with sophisticated facilities has been set up for this purpose. The institute, according to University Vice Chancellor Prof. BR Kamboj, provides training for farmers, youth, women, mushroom farming, beekeeping, agricultural value addition, dairy farming, horticulture, earthworm manure production, and vegetable production.
This Training Will Provide Opportunity To Start Own Business
It is not possible to perform training in offline mode due to the pandemic. Farmers will now receive this type of instruction while sitting at home. The Vice Chancellor stated that they will now be able to readily learn about sophisticated crop varieties and current farming techniques using the internet.
This institute has been providing such training on a regular basis in order to provide unemployed kids with opportunity to start their own businesses. Dr. Ashok Kumar Godara, the institute's Co-Director (Training), stated that a panel of experts will be able to train the attendees together in this conference hall.
Krishi Vigyan Kendra Experts & Farmers To Communicate Directly
Farmers will consult with specialists by joining a conference during Farming Training. Krishi Vigyan Kendra experts and farmers will be able to communicate directly through the internet. Apart from that, farmers will be able to acquire solutions by displaying their farm concerns to professionals via video conference during training.
This hall will assist not only the state, but also farmers across the country. This institute provides instruction to farmers from all across the country. Teams of farmers from various states visit from time to time to receive training and knowledge on new farming techniques.
Agriculture Scientist will Provide Information on Disease Prevention
Farmers and adolescents from different states received mushroom farming training here last year. Agricultural scientists here provided information on disease prevention in various crops from time to time.
Even during pandemic, efforts are being undertaken to give this service to farmers over the internet. Dr. Surendra Kumar Mehta, OSD Dr. Atul Dhingra, Director of Extension Education Dr. Balwan Singh, and representatives from all colleges involved were in attendance.
