Rs.316 crore Transferred into Farmers' Accounts under Rythu Bandhu Scheme
Around Rs316 crore was sanctioned to the farmers under the Rythu Bandhu scheme in the district, informed Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar on Sunday.
According to Telangana Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, around Rs.316 crore has been sanctioned to farmers in the district under the Rythu Bandhu scheme. The Minister took part in the Rythu Bandhu celebrations at Chimmapudi hamlet, which is part of Raghunadhapalem mandal.
He conducted the palabhishekam function for Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's portrait, which was attended by farmers and party leaders. Minister said on the occasion that Rs.276 crore has already been transferred into farmers' accounts in the district under the Rythu Bandhu scheme this season.
From 2018 to 2021, over Rs.2337 crore was deposited in farmers' accounts in the district through the Rythu Bandhu scheme. He stated that the TRS government was exclusively interested in the growth of farmers.
Apart from Rythu Bandhu, the government spends crores of rupees on free electricity supply for agricultural requirements, drinking water supply etc., according to the Minister.
According to Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Chief Minister KCR was aware of all the farmers' concerns, thus the government set up seeds and other agricultural facilities to provide the same farmers before the start of the season in the State.
According to the Minister, Telangana is the only state in the country that has adopted so many schemes for the welfare of farmers, adding that despite the Covid pandemic, the government has not stopped any scheme for the people.
He stated that a significant number of farmers are participating happily in the Rythu Bandhu celebrations across the State. He stated that the construction of Rythu Vedhikalu is very useful to the farmers in all the mandals.
He alleged the BJP government at the Centre is implementing anti-farmer policies in the country. The TRS government succeeded in its fight against the new agriculture bills. He urged farmers to grow alternate crops throughout this season. Later, Minister Ajay performed kolatam dance along with farmers at the program.
The event was attended by Zilla Parishad Chairman L Kamal Raj, SUDA Chairman Bachu Vijay Kumar, DCCB Chairman K Nagabhushanam, AMC Chairman Laxmi Prasanna, TRS leaders Krishnaveni, Ravi, Sudhakar, and others.
