Rythu Bandhu input financial assistance of Rs.544.15 crore was deposited in the accounts of 18,12,656 farmers on Tuesday, as part of the scheme's eighth phase of implementation for the Rabi 2021-22 season.
Currently, 66.61 lakh farmers have enrolled under the scheme, which covers 152.91 lakh acres and for which the State government would be releasing Rs.7645 crore in total.
The state government claims that by the end of eight phases, Rs.50000 crore would have been spent on the scheme.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao transferred a sum of Rs.5000 per acre under the Rythu Bandhu scheme for Rabi season in the bank accounts of farmers on 28 December 2021.
He said that no paddy purchase centers will be opened or paddy will be purchased from growers during the Rabi season, slamming the Central Government for refusing to buy rice from Telangana for the season.
In a review meeting held at Pragathi Bhavan, the Chief Minister directed district collectors and agricultural officials to reach out to farmers at the grass-roots level to explain the Central government's position and rescue them from incurring losses by sowing paddy in the current season.
Rao further asked authorities to finish the disbursement of the Rythu Bandhu fund to over 60 lakh farmers in the state within ten days, starting from December 28.
