Ankita Agarwal, UPSC IAS 2nd Topper 2022 Shares Her Success Story & Future Plans

UPSC IAS topper 2022: On May 30, 2022, UPSC declared the final result 2021. In the civil services examination 2021, Ankita Agarwal came in second place. When questioned about her future plans, she stated that after entering the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), she would like to work for women's empowerment and primary healthcare.

Ankita Agrawal expressed interest in working in the areas of women's empowerment and primary healthcare. She will be able to work more on the development side now that she is an IAS. She expressed her desire to serve at the grass root level and believes that this is the best chance to do so. Ankita Agarwal, a 2020 batch Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) officer, is now on probation at Haryana's National Academy of Customs, Indirect Taxes and Narcotics (NACIN). The second-place winner is a Kolkata native. This was her third try at passing the exam. She was selected in the IRS in her first attempt.

She stated, "When it comes to the reaction of the parents," "When I contacted my father, he was overjoyed and said that he was expecting a rank 1 or 2. This is something that will stick with me for a long time. My mother and all of my other relatives were really thrilled since I live in a joint family."
"It is a matter of great pride for me and for the entire country that women have got the top three positions in the examination," Agarwal said of women securing the top three positions in the civil services examination 2021, the results of which were announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) earlier on Monday. Shruti Sharma took first place in the exam, while Gamini Singla came in third.
Education background
She stated that she has been trained in economics and has an interest in development economics when asked about her interests and training. She had taken political science and international relations as an optional subject after graduating in Economics (Hons.) from Delhi University's St. Stephen's College.
Ankita explained that instead of calculating the hours, she used to spend time as much as she could for exam preparation. "Rather of putting in a certain number of hours, I sought to establish a sustainable study routine," she explained.
UPSC Result 2021: Highlights
This year, a total of 749 applicants passed the UPSC test. Shruti Sharma took first place and was named the UPSC topper this year. Ankita Agarwal came in second and Gamini Singla came in third. 126 individuals' UPSC results have been placed on the reserve list. The 80 recommended candidates' candidacies are on a temporary basis.
