UPSC IES, ISS Exam 2019: Union Public Service Commission has released UPSC IES, ISS Exam 2019 notification on the official site of UPSC at upsc.gov.in. Candidates can check on the official site for the detailed notification. However, the online application form for Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Exam 2019 is available at upsconline.nic.in.  

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will conduct the exams in June. The UPSC usually begins the registration for these exams in March which is followed by written exam in June/ July and personality test in November. 

Exam details will be announced in April for Combined Medical Services exam and Central Armed Police Forces exam. The main exam for Engineering Services 2019 will be held on June 30. 

The examination will fill up 55 posts altogether for both the services. Candidates who want to apply for the examination need to apply for the examination up to April 16, 2019, till 6 pm. The online application can be withdrawn from April 23 to April 30, 2019, till 6 pm.

UPSC IES, ISS Exam 2019: Eligibility Criteria 

Indian Economic Service: Candidates applying for the exam must have obtained a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from any recognized university. 

Indian Statistical Service: Candidates must have got a Bachelor's Degree with Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects or a Master's degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from any recognized university. 

Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August 2019. 

He/she must not have been born earlier than 2nd August 1989 and not later than 1st August 1998. 

UPSC IES, ISS Exam 2019: Pattern of Exams 

The exam pattern will consist of Part I and Part II. Part I will have written examination. It will carry 1000 marks in the subjects given in the detailed notification above. Part II will be Viva-Voca of such candidates as may be called by the Commission carrying a maximum of 200 marks. Part I examination will be scheduled for three hours duration. 

The question papers will be set in English and the answers must be in English. The questions in all subjects in Indian Economic Service Examination and in Indian Statistical Service Examination will be of Conventional (essay) type except in Statistics Paper I and Statistics Paper II which will be Objective Type Papers. 

UPSC IES, ISS Exam 2019: Fee Pattern 

Candidates who want to take up Indian Economic Service Examination/Indian Statistical Service Examination will have to pay fee of Rs 200/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI.
