Customers of SBI will be able to get mini statements and check their account balances through SBI Whatsapp Banking.

Good news for lakhs of SBI customers in India. Now they can access banking services using WhatsApp. Customers of SBI will be able to get mini statements and check their account balances.

How to use SBI’s WhatsApp service

Step 1- Registration

You must first register to access this service through SBI WhatsApp Banking. Send an SMS to 7208933148 with the text WAREG, then your account number, and a space between them. One thing you must remember is to send this SMS from the same phone number that is linked to your SBI account.

Step 2: Send message WhatsApp number 90226 90226

After successfully registering for SBI WhatsApp Banking, a message from SBI's number 90226 90226 will be sent to your WhatsApp number. You can save this number.

  1. Account Balance

  2. Mini Statement

  3. De-register from WhatsApp Banking

You need to type ‘1’ and send to get details of your bank balance and ‘2’ to get details of your Mini statement. To de-register with SBI WhatsApp Banking, you have to type 3.

Other banks that offer WhatsApp banking services include IDFC First Bank, and Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda.

SBI Card WhatsApp

The State Bank of India also provides its credit card holders with WhatsApp-based services through the platform. SBI credit card holders may utilize this to check their account summary, reward points, unpaid balance, and other information. To sign up for the scheme, cardholders must send the WhatsApp message "OPTIN" to the number 9004022022. They may either use the mobile app or a missed call to 08080945040 from the registered mobile number to sign up for the service.
