He said today, the cost of food has gone very high as we are the first contributors to the food chain, we know what the prices are likely to be in the next 6 months. Food inflation is a big concern. Our industry is 70 billion dollars industry globally, doing 42 billion dollars worth international trade.
He added that we play an integral part in Global Food Security & Global Food Inflation. We should be proud to say that our Industry is very self-reliant where as there are other industries where 90% of inputs come from abroad and the government has had to spend Rs 10,000 Crores with PLI Schemes to help them.
We should be proud that our industry has a robust eco-system, great supply chain & manufacturing capability. All thanks to our great scientist and industry leaders.

We would like to work with other industry colleagues, our suppliers, our partners, our customers together to take forward our company, in terms of safety, sustainability & good practice. We will be share the experience that UPL has achieved globally as well as other parameters in manufacturing where we have got international & national recognition.
Today every country is looking at its own national interest & national security. We as an industry need to do what is good for India, Indian Farmers & Indian Food Security. We have put together the group of researchers, who have been doing an amazing work and studying data and false acquisitions made by foreign interest and NGOs that are funded from abroad.
We found that the Indian Farmers use our products very judicially, India is a country where we recycle plastic, it is a country where we put water in shampoo bottle & shake it and use it, and then there are some people who say that our people are spraying pesticides without any thought…. This is Impossible!

We are having huge exports of grapes & other fruits that are earning fantastic values in international markets. All these things are because of our industries’ that is helping to produce, protect and export our agriculture commodities.
Our Hon’ble Prime Minister, wants to double the farmers income. We have to keep food inflation in check, doubling farmers income with keeping food inflation in check can only come from agriculture exports. Global Trade of agriculture commodities is more than one and a half trillion. We can take a small share of that and fulfil our Prime Minister’s dream of doubling farmer’s income.
