2-Day OUAT Farmers' Fair 2023 Set to Begin on Feb 27 in Bhubaneshwar

The key objective of the event is to support the most recent developments and industry-best practices in agriculture.

The much-anticipated OUAT Farmers' Fair 2023, organised by India’s second oldest agricultural institute -Odisha University of Agriculture & Technology (OUAT), is set to begin in Bhubaneshwar on February 27. The 2-day international event will conclude on February 28.

The fair will primarily focus on seeds, seedlings and QPM, tissue culture plantlets, mushroom spawn, fingerlings and yearlings, poultry, biofertilisers, biopesticides, and vermicompost.

Apart from the inaugural session, day 1 of the event will witness two phases of technical sessions for the participant farmers and others associated with the agri sector.

Day 2 of the fair will include Technical Session - III (Farmer-Scientist Interaction), Industry - Farmer Interface, and a plenary session.

Farmers, farm women, agri-entrepreneurs, FPOs, agriculture & allied departments, ICAR institutes, as well as public and private seed agencies will participate in the fair.

The key objective of the event is to support the most recent developments and industry-best practices in agriculture. Farmers visiting the fair will have the chance to network with business leaders and gain knowledge about the most recent scientific advancements, technological advancements, and sustainable agricultural practises.

Recently, Pravat Kumar Roul, the Vice Chancellor of OUAT, had attended the 2nd Utkal Krishi Mela at the M S Swaminathan School of Agriculture, Centurion University in Odisha, as the chief guest.

In the event, jointly organised by Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) and Krishi Jagran, the VC said that such large scale farmer/agricultural fairs' will be a game-changer for the agriculture sector in Odisha.

With such an extensive range of topics and experts, such events promise to be a unique and valuable experience for all attendees, he added.
