Dhanuka Agritech Ltd has introduced a new herbicide called 'Tizom,' designed to assist sugarcane farmers in effectively managing weed infestations, ultimately boosting their profitability.
This innovative herbicide has been developed in collaboration with Japan's Nissan Chemical Corporation and is specifically tailored for the states of Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu, with plans to expand to other regions in the near future.
'Tizom' boasts two key active ingredients: Halosulfuron Methyl at 6% concentration and Metribuzin at 50% WG. Together, these components provide a powerful solution for controlling a wide spectrum of weeds, including narrow leaf weeds, broadleaf weeds, and the problematic Cyperus rotundus.
One of the standout features of 'Tizom' is its precision in targeting and eradicating weeds while leaving sugarcane crops unharmed.
Moreover, it offers extended weed control, creating a weed-free environment that persists over an extended period, thereby significantly benefiting farmers.
Rahul Dhanuka, the Joint Managing Director of Dhanuka Agritech Ltd, emphasized the positive impact of 'Tizom' on their sugarcane portfolio, expressing its potential to greatly assist sugarcane farmers. He also revealed the company's ambitious growth plans for the current fiscal year, with a promise to introduce several more products.
Manoj Varshney, National Marketing Head of Dhanuka Agritech Ltd, stressed the importance of 'Tizom's' selectivity in safeguarding sugarcane plants from weeds, ensuring optimal growth and yield. This selectiveness is a critical factor in maintaining the health and productivity of the sugarcane crop.
Representatives from Nissan Chemical Corporation, RK Yadav, Managing Director of Nissan Agro Tech India Pvt Ltd, and Yasuhiko Teraoka, International Business Head at Nissan Chemical Corporation, reiterated their commitment to delivering high-quality products to support Indian farmers in the future. Their collaboration with Dhanuka Agritech Ltd reflects a shared dedication to the agricultural community and its sustainable growth.
