An earthquake of 5.4 Richter scale jolted Kashmir on Tuesday at around 1: 30 pm, said the European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC). Tremours of this earthquake were felt in Delhi and the areas connected to it. The earthquake occurred 18 km away from Gandoh Bhalessa village in Jammu and Kashmir district Doda.
Tremors were felt in parts of north India. According to a news report, tremors might have been felt in HP, Chandigarh, Punjab, and all adjoining areas. People on social media are posting live footage from the area where the earthquake rocked Srinagar.
