Modi to Inaugurate Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited Workshop in Gorakhpur – a Step Towards Atmanirbharta in Fertilisers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) workshop in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. HURL was incorporated in 2016. This plant will create huge job opportunity. The visit and inspection conducted by Gowda and Adityanath will lead to the decision on the date of “lokaarpan” by PM Modi in the month of July.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Limited (HURL) workshop in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. It must be noted that HURL was incorporated in 2016. 

Factory premises was inspected by DV Sadananda Gowda, Minister of Chemicals & Fertilizers and Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on March 4.  

HURL is a joint venture company by Coal India Limited (CIL), NTPC Limited (NTPC), and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) as the lead promoters and other partners are Fertilizer Corporation of India Limited (FCIL) and Hindustan Fertilizer Corporation Limited (HFCL).  

“The objective of HURL is to establish and operate state of the environment-friendly and energy-efficient Natural Gas based new Fertilizer Complexes (Ammonia-Urea) of 2200 MTPD Ammonia and 3850 MTPD Urea (1.27 MMTPA neem coated urea) and market their products, thus spurring economic growth in eastern India.” 

As per the information, officials have recently inspected the premises and all the work will be completed before July. Gas pipeline, Railway track, machinery, and some related work were inspected. And wok in some areas got delayed due to the lockdown in 2020. 

This plant will create huge job opportunities. The visit and inspection conducted by Gowda and Adityanath will lead to the decision on the date of “lokaarpan” by PM Modi in the month of July.
