  • Giriraj Singh Inaugurates ‘Mission Antyodaya Survey: 2022-23’ & Launches Portal, Mobile App in Delhi

    Inaugurating the Mission Antyodaya Survey (MAS) 2022-23 including the launching of its portal and mobile application at a function in New Delhi today, Giriraj Singh said, the Mission will ensure effective resource utilization through the convergence of various government schemes with a focused micro plan for sustainable livelihood for each marginalized household. He said that this has been done to underline the philosophy of Prime Minister Modi of the “Whole of Government Approach”.

     

  • Bill Anderson to Become CEO of Bayer AG

    The Supervisory Board of Bayer AG has appointed Bill Anderson to become CEO of Bayer, effective June 1, 2023. He will join Bayer as a member of the Board of Management on April 1, 2023. Bill Anderson was elected unanimously after a thorough selection process that began the mid-last year. Werner Baumann (60), current CEO of Bayer, will work closely with him on a smooth transition before retiring from Bayer after 35 years of service at the end of May 2023.

     

  • Adani Power Strengthens Fire Alert System at Tiroda Plant with Staqu’s AI-Powered Video Analytics- JARVIS

    Staqu, India's leading AI implementation enabler, has collaborated with Adani Power Limited (APL), the country's largest private thermal power producer (part of the diversified Adani Group), to install JARVIS Video Analytics at the Tiroda Thermal Plant. This collaboration will assist APL in quickly detecting fire and smoke within the plant premises, ensuring greater safety.

     

  • APEDA to Train 1000 FPOs to Become Direct Exporters of Agri Produce

    With Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) evolving as farm produce aggregators, the Agricultural and Processed Foods Export Development Authority (APEDA) has begun to focus on capacity building for these units to assist them in carrying out direct exports. APEDA has so far trained about 701 FPOs/FPCs in states including Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana. The increase in demand for Indian agricultural and food exports is indicative of the contribution of FPOs and FPCs. According to Angamuthu, the skilled FPOs will export a variety of goods, including millets, horticultural goods, and goods with a Geographical Indication (GI).
