    Shakti Pumps, an Indian solar pumping company, received Rs 149.71 Cr order from Ajmer Viduyt Vitran Nigam Limited under PM-KUSUM Component-C on October 9, 2023, showcasing India's commitment to solar energy and sustainable agriculture. The project involves replacing inefficient electric pump sets with energy-efficient BLDC Solar Pump sets, powered by solar energy. Surplus electricity can be sent back to the grid. This initiative will greatly benefit Indian farmers by improving irrigation, reducing reliance on traditional energy, and enabling income through surplus power sales to Discoms. Dinesh Patidar, Chairman of Shakti Pumps, supports this initiative, highlighting how it transforms farmers into energy providers.

This maneuver, verified by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), followed the Trans-Lagrangean Point 1 Insertion (TLII) maneuver on September 19, which necessitated alterations to its trajectory. The TCM was vital for Aditya-L1's journey to a Halo orbit around L1. ISRO confirmed its good health and progress. Aditya-L1 completed four Earth maneuvers, including the crucial TLII maneuver that freed it from Earth's gravity. It also started its scientific mission, collecting data with the STEPS instrument, offering insights into particle behaviour near Earth.

    R. Sankar Narayanan, the Chief General Manager of NABARD, inaugurated a solar dryer in Sinnur near Vilaathikulam, benefiting rain-fed farmers engaged in the cultivation of chili and various horticultural crops. This solar dryer covers an area of 400 square feet and was constructed at a cost of ₹3.05 lakh. It serves the crucial purpose of efficiently drying chili without contamination from dust and sand. The funding for this project was provided by NABARD through its Sinnur watershed restoration program, which had a total budget of approximately ₹1.73 crore. Narayanan emphasized that NABARD's primary focus is on funding development and restoration programs in regions grappling with severe water scarcity.
