ICAR to Organize ’KRITAGYA,’ a National Level Hackathon on Crop Improvement
Indian Council of Agricultural Research with its National Agricultural Higher Education Project and Crop Science Division is organizing Hackathon 3.0 ‘’KRITAGYA” on promoting ‘speed breeding for crop improvement. Taking forward the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through National Education Policy-2020, this program will provide an opportunity to students/faculties/entrepreneurs/innovators and others to showcase innovative approaches and technology solutions to promote innovation for crop improvement.

Saffron Cultivation Training Conducted in Jammu & Kashmir
Pampore (J&K) district administration held a training and awareness programme on Sunday with the goal of increasing saffron cultivation in the valley. The event was hosted by the SKUAST Pampore Advanced Research Station for Saffron and Seed Spices and sponsored by the National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD).

Parshottam Rupala Holds Bilateral Meeting with New Zealand's Trade & Agriculture Minister
Parshottam Rupala, the Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairy, met with Damien O'connor, Minister of Trade and Agriculture of New Zealand. The two countries discussed the possibility of bilateral cooperation to strengthen Foot and Mouth Disease capability in order to advance India's and New Zealand's primary sectors.

Kharif Crop Procurement to Start in Haryana from October 1
The procurement of various kharif crops will begin next month in more than 100 mandis across Haryana. According to an official statement, Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal reviewed the arrangements for the procurement of moong, groundnut, arhar, urad, and til for the current marketing season and directed officers to ensure the smooth procurement of these crops from farmers.

Second Meeting of MSP Committee to be Held on September 27 in Hyderabad
On September 27 in Hyderabad, the government's committee on the minimum support price (MSP), natural farming, and crop diversification will hold its second meeting. In the first meeting held on August 22 in the national capital, the committee which is led by former Agriculture Secretary Sanjay Agrawal formed three internal sub-groups to deliberate on the mandated topics.
