65 Kg Stale Meat Recovered in Tamil Nadu Restaurants, Side Effects of Eating Rotten Meat
At least 65 kg of stale meat has been recovered from 11 restaurants in Tamil Nadu's Virudhunagar district. Also, 3 kg of plastic has been collected from these restaurants, while it is banned in the state. Authorities have fined these eat-out areas with Rs 30,000. Authorities would continue inspection in other restaurants. The District Collector, V P Jeyaseelan, has released a helpline number for people to complaint about adulterated or unhygienic food at the district food safety department's office number 04562 252255 or WhatsApp number 9444042322.

Haryana Fasal Suraksha Yojana Applications Open, Farmers Can Avail Rs 30000 Per Acre Financial Aid
Haryana Fasal Suraksha Yojana (HFSY) in Cluster II of State for Kharif 2023 was announced by the Haryana Government on Friday, September 22, 2023, in order to provide financial assistance to cotton farmers who suffered during the ongoing kharif season in seven districts. According to the notification released by the Haryana Government, districts that fall under the Cluster 2 category, including Hisar, Jind, Ambala, Gurugram, Karnal, Mahendragarh, and Sonepat, will be covered in this scheme.

India Celebrates Milestone as 75% of Villages Achieve ODF Plus Status Under Swachh Bharat Mission
India has achieved a significant milestone under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Grameen) Phase II, with 75% of its villages now attaining the ODF Plus status. An ODF Plus village is one that has sustained its Open Defecation Free (ODF) status while implementing either solid or liquid waste management systems. This achievement signifies a substantial step toward realizing the Phase II goals of the SBM-G by 2024-25. The top-performing States and Union Territories (UTs), including Andaman & Nicobar Islands, D&N Haveli, Goa, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Ladakh, Puducherry, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and Tripura, have achieved 100% ODF Plus villages. Notably, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dadra Nagar Haveli & Daman Diu, Jammu & Kashmir, and Sikkim have 100% ODF Plus Model villages, showcasing their remarkable progress in attaining this status.
