  • UP Government to create Udyog Bandhu-like body to help enterprising farmer producer organisations

    Uttar Pradesh is creating a dedicated body, on the lines of Udyog Bandhu, to help enterprising farmer producer organisations or FPOs in investing in projects for post-harvest infrastructure management & community farming assets with the assistance of the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund that the Central government had announced last month, sources revealed.

    The UP cabinet is expected to clear the farmer producer organisations policy 2020 soon following the Centre’s decision to form 10,000 such units in India by 2023-24. The Central government also plans to create Rs 1 lakh crore AIF available to banks who will finance these projects.

  • Southern India to receive extreme rainfall by end of this century says IIT researchers

    According to researchers from the Indian Institute of Kharagpur in West Bengal, the pattern of monsoon in the country can witness a major shift by the end of this century with southern India likely to record the maximum rise in extreme rainfall as compared to states in the central & north India.

    The researchers have also anticipated that extreme rainfall could increase in the Arabian Sea as well as south-Asian nations, including Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand.

    JNTU, Hyderabad has published TS EAMCET 2020 Hall Ticket/admit card for the Engineering exam today (3 September 2020). The TS EAMCET 2020 hall ticket is available for candidates who will appear for the Engineering examination on the official portal of TS EAMCET i.e. eamcet.tsche.ac.in. Candidates can download the admit card from the website till 7th September 2020.
