G20 Summit: Guidelines, Restricted Areas and Operational Status in New Delhi

WDRA Registered Enhanced Safety in Warehouses for Stored Produce, Highlights Centre
The Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA) under the Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of India organized an outreach programme on “registration of warehouses with WDRA” on August 28, 2023, at Baba Jitto Kisan Kendra, Directorate of Agriculture, Gole Pully, Talab Tillo, Jammu to promote the registration of warehouses with WDRA.

Parshottam Rupala, Dr L Murugan Set To Launch The Sagar Parikrama Phase-VIII In Kanyakumari Tomorrow
Union Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Parshottam Rupala along with Minister of State, Dr L Murugan is all set to launch Sagar Parikrama Phase-VIII in Thengapattanam Fishing Harbour in Kanyakumari district on August 31, 2023. This phase of Sagar Parikrama will cover four coastal districts of Tamil Nadu including Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi, and Ramanathapuram. The event will also witness the launch of a Tamil song on Sagar Parikrama.

Aadhaar-based Payment System Reviewed, Deadline for MGNREGA's Mixed Payment Route Extended
The progress of the Aadhaar-based Payment System (ABPS) has been reviewed and the mixed route of wage payment which includes, NACH and ABPS route has been extended till December 31, 2023, or till further order by the Ministry of Rural Development. APBS is the best route for making wage payments through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), which makes sure that payments are made directly into the Aadhaar-linked bank accounts of the end beneficiaries, removing any malpractices from the existing system.
