Indo-China LAC Talks Today Updates: Meeting between Top Commanders
Amid the corona crisis, the tension between India and China regarding the Line of Control (LAC) has created new hue and cry among these two neighboring nations. The commanders of India and China’s militaries hold talks today at Moldo to resolve the tense situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. As per reports, XIV Corps Commander Lt General Harinder Singh is expected to meet his Chinese counterpart at the Chushul-Moldo border meeting point. The meeting was going on since 11:30 am.

Covid-19: NABARD Offers Rs. 270 crore to Assam Gramin Vikash Bank
In the wake of the Corona crisis, National Bank for Agriculture & Rural Development (NABARD) has given a Special Liquidity Facility (SLF) of Rs 270 crore to the Assam Gramin Vikash Bank that will support the agricultural activities of farmers in the state.
NABARD has provided Rs 25,000 crore nationwide to provide liquidity support to Cooperative Banks, Regional Rural Banks & Micro Finance Institutions during 2020-21 with a view to ensuring continued flow of credit to cultivators to perform their agricultural operations smoothly even during Coronavirus pandemic period.

PMJDY Update: Women Account Holders Start Getting Final Instalment of Rs. 500
As per latest information, Women Jan Dhan bank account holders would start receiving the 3rd and final instalment of Rs. 500 from 05 June 2020 in line with the announcement made by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the month of March.
In order to help the poor deal with COVID-19 crisis, the Centre on 26th March 2020 had announced an ex-gratia payment of Rs. 500 to be credited to the women Jan Dhan account holders for the next 3 months starting from April.

Vande Bharat Mission: Air India to Offer More Seats after Surge in Demand for Tickets
As part of the Centre's Vande Bharat Mission, Air India will operate around 300 flights to Europe, Australia, Canada, the USA, the UK and Africa between June 10 and July 1 under the third phase.
However, the airline Saturday said it would offer more seats on its flights under the third phase of the Centre’s Vande Bharat Mission. As per reports, the announcement came a day after the national carrier opened bookings for 300 flights from select destinations, including the US and the UK, between June 10 and July 1.

Kejriwal Warns Strict Action against Hospitals who are not Admitting Covid Patients
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has issued warning against the private hospitals who denied to admit Covid-19 patients and lying about their available bed numbers. Giving stern warning to the medical facilities, he said that no hospital can deny treatment to patients. “You will not be spared. You will have to take coronavirus patient who is coming to the hospital for the treatment. Denying treatment to any patient is non-negotiable”, said Kejriwal. The national capital has crossed 26,000 positive cases with 708 death toll.

WHO says COVID-19 not 'Exploded' in India but Risk Remains after Unlocking Lockdown
The outbreak of coronavirus disease is not considered as "explosion" in India, but the risk of explosion persists as the nationwide lockdown is about to be opened, according to a top WHO expert. WHO Health Emergencies Programme Executive Director Michael Ryan said the doubling time of the coronavirus cases in India is about three weeks at this stage. As per Ryan, the spread of disease can accelerate at any time as the disease generates and create a foothold in communities.

Indian and Chinese Armies Hold Lieutenant General-level Talks to Resolve Eastern Ladakh Dispute
In an attempt to resolve the long-standing border dispute over eastern Ladakh, the Indian and Chinese armies held Lieutenant General-level talks. The general officer commanding of Leh-based 14 Corps, Lt General Harinder Singh led the Indian delegation while the Chinese delegation was led by the Commander of the Tibet Military District, as per sources. The talks took place at the Border Personnel Meeting Point in Maldo in Eastern Ladakh, which falls on the Chinese side of the Line of Actual Control (LAC).
