PM Kisan 11th Installment: Government to Disburse Rs. 21,000 crores to Over 10 crore Farmers Today

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 11th instalment of PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana worth ₹21,000 crore on May 31.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will disburse Rs. 21,000 crore to more than 10 crore farmers under PM-Kisan Yojana in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh on May 31. According to the agriculture ministry, PM Modi talk with the beneficiaries of 16 schemes & initiatives conducted by 9 central ministries through video conferencing as part of the national event 'Garib Kalyan Sammelan'. 

The national event is part of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' celebrations.

The agriculture ministry statement said that PM Modi will release the 11th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana worth ₹21,000 crores on Tuesday. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Tomar will join the program from Pusa complex in New Delhi.

PM-Kisan scheme provides financial support of Rs. 6,000 per year to eligible farmers. The money is transferred directly into their bank accounts in three equal payments of Rs. 2,000 each. On January 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 10th installment of over Rs. 20,000 crore to more than 10 crore farmers.

The ministry said that this will be India’s largest single program with nationwide discussions in all districts during which PM Modi will communicate with the recipients as to how various central schemes impacted their lives.

The Central government schemes are – PM Kisan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matri Vandana Yojana, Poshan Abhiyan, Swachh Bharat Mission (Rural & Urban), Jal Jeevan Mission & AMRUT.

Other schemes include PM Swanidhi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan, One Nation-One Ration Card, PM Jan Arogya Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, Ayushman Bharat Health & Wellness Centers, PM Mudra Yojana.

Under the two-phase program, the state, district, as well as Krishi Vigyan Kendra level functions, will begin at 9.45 am and would be linked to the national level program at 11 am. The program will be telecast live on Doordarshan. It will also be webcast through MyGov, wherein people will be able to register.

Moreover, people can view it through various social media channels like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter & Instagram.
