CII Agrinnovate conference on Embracing Technology for Sustainable Agriculture, fostered discussions, knowledge sharing, and collaboration around technology integration in advancing sustainable agricultural practices. The conference organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region was held at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi on October 6, 2023, and aimed to bring together experts, policymakers, stakeholders, and innovators to explore the potential of technology-driven solutions in addressing the challenges and opportunities in agriculture while promoting agriculture sustainability.

'Millets FPO Exhibition’ Organized for Central Armed Police Forces at BSF Camp in Chhawala, New Delhi
The Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare (DA&FW) hosted a 'Millets FPO Exhibition for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) to promote the consumption of millets or ‘Shree Anna’ among the Central Armed Police Personnel, under the Ministry of Home Affairs' today, at the BSF Camp in Chhawala, New Delhi. More than 30 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) from around the country, showcased a variety of products including raw millet grains, ready-to-cook (RTC) items, and ready-to-eat (RTE) products etc, to approximately 1,000 attendees from various paramilitary forces.

FSII (Federation of Seed Industry of India) has successfully undergone a leadership transition in a series of exciting developments, welcoming Ajai Rana, CEO and Managing Director of Savannah Seeds Pvt Ltd. Rana, a distinguished figure in the industry, joins a team of renowned leaders in FSII's new leadership team. Which Pension Scheme is Best For Retirement: Guaranteed Pension System (GPS) or Old Pension Scheme (OPS)
In the midst of increasing demands from government workers for the revival of the Old Pension Scheme (OPS) in various states, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly has recently approved the AP Guaranteed Pension Scheme (GPS). The AP Guaranteed Pension Scheme bill received approval in the Assembly on Wednesday, leading to the transition of all state government employees from the Old Pension System (OPS) to the Contributory Pension System (CPS). This decision was made in response to persistent requests from employees to reconsider the contributory pension scheme and assess the feasibility of reinstating the Old Pension System (OPS). Now, let's analyse the advantages and disadvantages of the Old Pension System and the Guaranteed Pension System to determine which one provides the most favourable retirement benefits.

Fairtrade India's Rs 23.93 Crores in Sales Sparks Sustainable Revolution at First National Conference
Fairtrade India, in collaboration with the Fairtrade Network of Asia Pacific Producers, has successfully wrapped up India's first-ever National Fairtrade Conference. This milestone event marks a significant leap towards nurturing sustainable and ethical commerce in India. It highlighted the burgeoning awareness and engagement with the Fairtrade Label across various sectors. Independent research, commissioned by the organization, unveiled a substantial increase in awareness of the Fairtrade Label among SEC A consumers in metropolitan areas, soaring from 10 percent in 2019 to an impressive 25 percent in 2022. The two-day conference held on October 5 & 6, 2023 at Pullman Hotel, Aerocity, New Delhi convened over 150 delegates from diverse segments of the Fairtrade ecosystem, including businesses, producers, partner organizations, industry experts, educational institutions, and consumers.
