  • Rs 10,000 Crore released under Aatmanirbhar Bharat Mission 

    In Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission of Modi government's, over Rs 10,000 crore amount has been released by Highways Ministry. Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has confirmed in a statement, "A sum of Rs 10,339 crore has been released by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways during the COVID-19 period under the simplified payment process as envisaged in the ambitious Aatmanirbhar Bharat scheme. Another sum of Rs 2475 crore is being processed and is likely to be released soon." 

  • Northeast, South India to Witness Heavy Rainfall for next few days: IMD

    Bengaluru received heavy rainfall today due to which several low-lying areas were flooded with water. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had issued a Red alert predicting heavy rainfall during the next few days. The weather office has also predicted cloudy sky and thundershowers for next 3 days in Karnataka. The IMD said heavy rainfall is expected in northeast India for the next 5 days due to a cyclonic circulation over Gangetic West Bengal & its neighbouring areas.

  • Covid-19 Update: Serum Institute halts trial of Oxford University-Astrazeneca Coronavirus vaccine in India

    Serum Institute of India today (10 September 2020) said that it has put on hold the trial of the Oxford University-Astrazeneca Coronavirus vaccine in the country until British-Swedish drug maker restarts the trial. The decision came a day after Pune-based vaccine maker got a show cause notice from the Drug Controller's General of India or DGCI.

  • Money will soon be credited in EPFO subscribers bank account  

    Retirement fund body EPFO has decided to credit a part of 8.5% interest on EPF for 2019-20 into the account of it’s around 6 crore subscribers. The decision to provide 8.15% interest now on EPF has been taken at the EPFO trustees meet that was conducted on Wednesday.
