ICAR-IARI to Conduct 5-Day Training Program on Processed Food Products from Millets
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (ICAR-IARI) is set to organize a comprehensive five-day training program focused on Processed Food Products from Millets. The event, scheduled to take place from December 4th to 8th, 2023, aims to shed light on the nutritional and technological aspects of incorporating millets into conventional foods. The training is open to progressive farmers, entrepreneurs, faculty, and students. With a maximum capacity of 25 participants on a first-come-first-serve basis, the program will take place at the ZTM & BPD Unit and Division of FS&PHT, NRL Building, ICAR-IARI, New Delhi.

42nd India International Trade Fair: Union Minister Narayan Rane Inaugurates MSME Pavilion
The Union Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Narayan Rane, inaugurated the doors to the ‘MSME PAVILION’ at the 42nd India International Trade Fair (IITF) today. The inauguration took place in Hall No. 4 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, in the presence of senior officers from the Ministry and its affiliated organizations. This year's MSME Pavilion at the 42nd IITF centers around the theme "PM Vishwakarma," the flagship scheme of the Ministry of MSME, launched on September 17, 2023, by the Prime Minister of India. Minister Rane emphasized the significance of Traditional Artisans and Craftsmen, commonly referred to as 'Vishwakarmas,' stating that they are the true builders of the nation.

Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Eknath Shinde, and Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri, recently convened a joint meeting to address critical issues related to Solid Waste Management. The virtual meeting included the participation of high-ranking officials, such as the Chief Secretary of Maharashtra, the Municipal Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, the Secretary of the Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), and other senior government representatives.

In an effort to foster knowledge and understanding of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) among scientists, researchers, and start-ups, the ZTM & BPD (Zonal Technology Management & Business Planning and Development) Unit at the ICAR-IARI is set to organize a comprehensive online training session from November 20 to 22, 2023. The three-day training program aims to equip participants with valuable insights into various aspects of intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and designs. Intellectual Property Rights in India serve as a crucial framework, offering protection to registered owners and ensuring exclusive rights to utilize specific intellectual properties.

Shailesh Kumar Singh, the Secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development, inaugurated the Saras Mela at the International Trade Mela on November 16.
