  • NDDB Signs MoU with Ladakh Administration & LAHDC to Manage Ladakh Milk Federation

    National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) signed a tripartite MoU with Union Territory of Ladakh and Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) by which it will manage the entire operations of Ladakh Milk Federation for a period of five years and implement a structured dairy development programme in the region.

  • FSSAI Issues Spot Memo After Complaints of Unhygienic Practices at Bangalore Dominos

    After receiving complaints about potentially unhygienic procedures being used at a Domino's shop in Bengaluru, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued a spot memo to food business operators. A response to the "unhygienic food handling practices of outlet stated in the complaint" is requested in the spot note.

  • GADVASU Conducts Training in Advanced Technologies for Seafood Processing & Value Addition

    Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) flagged of its first batch of 20 undergraduate (B.F.Sc.) students at the College of Fisheries (COF) for a 2-week international training session at the Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Hat Yai, Thailand's International Centre of Excellence in Seafood Science and Innovation (ICE-SSI).

  • USA Introduced Legislation to Prohibit Chinese Investment in Agriculture

    A US Senator on Wednesday introduced legislation in the Senate to "blacklist China" from investing in, buying, or in any other way acquiring land or businesses involved in agriculture after a Chinese company bought farmland close to an Air Force base in North Dakota. Senator Mike Rounds, a Republican from South Dakota, stated in front of the Senate, "Protecting American farmland is critical to maintaining our national security.. I was concerned when a Chinese company recently bought farmland close to an Air Force base in North Dakota because I am a senator on the committee overseeing the armed services.
